Managing the dates available for customers to request delivery requires regular updates to the follow values:

1. “Minimum Working Days” – this is the number of working days required to prepare an order. for delivery. Combined with the days of the week the store is open, this value determines whether the customer can order for the current Sunday or not. For example, when set to “1” this tells the system that an order can be prepared on the next day the shop is open. Since the shop is only “open” on Sundays, this means the first Sunday would be required to complete the order and it would not be available for delivery until the following Sunday.
2. “Maximum Delivery Range” – in combination with the “Minimum Working Days” and the shop’s “open for business” days, this value determines how far in advance an order can be accepted.

Both of these values are found via WordPress menus: Woocommerce->Settings->Shipping & Delivery->Shipping Options

The enable ordering for Sunday of the current week plus four additional Sundays on a rolling basis, follow the example below.

Step-by-step example #

Presume today’s date in Sunday, January 24, 2021. We wish to accept orders for the next five Sundays on a rolling basis with order cut-off for each current week of Thursday at 5pm.

Initial Setup of Delivery Dates #

1. Log into the site administration at http://sundaygravy.us/wp-admin/
2. Click on the following menu options: Woocommerce->Settings->Shipping & Delivery->Shipping Options
3. Set value for “Minimum working days” = 0.
4. Set value for “Maximum Delivery Range” = 35.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click button, “Save changes.”
6. The available delivery days now set correctly for checkout as January 31, February 7, 14, 21, 28

Update Schedule Each Thursday by 5:00pm (or cutoff time for current week) #

1. Log into the site administration at http://sundaygravy.us/wp-admin/
2. Click on the following menu options: Woocommerce->Settings->Shipping & Delivery->Shipping Options
3. Set value for “Minimum working days” = 1.
4. The available delivery days now set correctly for checkout to exclude the current Sunday.

NOTE: Each Sunday, set the value for “Minimum working days” = 0 to enable ordering for the current Sunday once again.
